The Occasional Chair
I love a seasonal change, particularly during autumn. As our focus moves towards being indoors there is an extra emphasis on making homely interiors as beautiful and cosy as possible. What we like to encourage our guests to take pleasure in, is finding a particular corner to recline, take a moment to sit pretty and thumb through the Sunday paper, indulge in a little social media browsing, or simply admiring the ever-changing views across Mawgan Porth beach.
Flexibility and versatility is one of the key things I look for when designing interiors, which is why I’m always shopping for furniture and accessories that have a use other than what’s intended.
An occasional chair, isn’t just functional but adds a stylish addition to our rooms and living areas. My love for quirky vintage finds juxtaposed with modernist white interiors is the one common theme running throughout our B&B and in each bedroom I’ve added colour flashes within the upholstery, cushions and throws to transform empty corners.
This autumn, cosy up to our collection of accent chairs and arm chairs, positioned in convenient spots to slump into after a long day exploring all that an autumnal Cornwall has to offer or perhaps to fling your delicates before diving into bed at the end of the evening.
Here’s a selection of Seavista’s favourite spots to sit while you enjoy your stay with us;
