Same Name, New Space – Planning Permission Granted.
My passion for creating a unique stay has never waivered in the eleven years that we’ve owned Seavista. A space that welcomes our guests from the moment they arrive providing beautiful rooms to stay, relax and enjoy returning to after exploring this stunning part of Cornwall. Every year I restyle the rooms, move the furniture, paint walls, find vintage gems or style soft furnishings but often this building has created a fork in the road and i’ve been unable to really develop Seavista into my ultimate beachside B&B.
Ozzy and I stopped looking at Seavista as a building and started looking at it as a plot of land with incredible potential for development
And so it is with great excitement that I can officially share the news, we have been granted planning permission to knock down this big old building and redevelop the space to provide a single terrace of three, 4-bedroom sea view properties.
The illustration above is from our planning application. We’re keeping the name Seavista but transforming the space into three eco-friendly, luxury homes. We’ll be recycling a lot of materials from the build and intend to function off-grid as much as we can.
The Lodge apartment will be staying put, becoming our temporary home during the build. We will then make one of the houses our home, from which we will offer one beautiful luxury Bed and Breakfast Room, offering gorgeous breakfast hampers (in true Seavista style). One house has been sold but will be run as a Luxury Self Catering Holiday Home by ourselves, the final house will be offered by us a gorgeous design led Self Catering Holiday Home, sleeping up to 8 people with sea views to die for and the level of service you would expect from a stay at Seavista.
We are planning to complete the new build of Seavista by the beginning of 2020 so untill then, keep following us on our socials where we’ll update you on the build, my new vintage finds and how I plan on styling this brand new space.
As a final word before the build begins I’d like to say biggest thanks for following, visiting, sharing and supporting our little Cornish B&B. We have loved meeting and getting to know you all and really look forward to hopefully seeing you again in 2020!
Love Kate x
