The Balmy Summer of 2018
The summer of 2018 will go down in history, we’ll be talking about it for years to come, those balmy summer evenings spent beachside long after the sun has set. A summer so warm we plunge face first into the sea wearing only our swimmers and don’t so much as shiver on the way under. Even the weeds have grown new tropical flowers I’m certain I’ve never seen before!
Here at Seavista, we are so proud to be Cornish so when our beautiful part of the world is sweltering theres no place we’d rather be, the cool breeze from the ocean is our salvation. Our guests have been so overwhelmed by the soaring temperatures that we can quite rightly dub this part of the UK “Kernowfornia”, there is a wild beauty that has flourished, perhaps its the sweet scent of coconut from the yellow gorse flower, or maybe its the wildflower fringed country lanes that dapple sunlight through the leaves.
As we welcome our new guests each week, theres is a heightened buzz, an extra energy, an urgency to experience Cornwall at its finest, perhaps its all the extra vitamin D we’re absorbing!
All we know for certain is that you don’t need to pack any more than a beach towel and your bathers and perhaps a straw hat for shade, whats even more delightful is August has only just began, the weather is here to stay and so we hope you will too!
