Mawgan Porth is a small village situated 6 miles from Newquay and 8 miles for Padstow. For those feeling energetic there are magnificent coastal walks. There is a short walk down the valley to St Mawgan where one can visit the Bonsai Nursery, Japanese Gardens and enjoy a drink and a snack at the local inn.

We are in an ideal position for travelling around Cornwall, with Penzance being approximately 1 hour away, and the South Coast within half an hour.

We are 30 minutes from the Eden Project, 1 hour from the Lost Gardens of Heligan – plus many other Royal Horticultural Society and National Trust Gardens and Estates in the surrounding areas.

There are several beautiful sandy beaches in Newquay all of which are safe for bathing and patrolled by lifeguards from May to September.

Golf courses abound, having some 30 within an hour’s distance. Sea fishing is also available from either Padstow or Newquay.

There are miles of beaches and beautiful walks, along with historic landmarks and sites.
